Do you ever get to the point where you know that what you are doing is just plain stupid, but you're to stubborn to stop? That was my run last Sunday. At the time, I wasn't sure if I had hurt myself or if I was just cramping up, but over the last two miles of my run, my right leg got more and more sore. It even got to the point that I stopped and did some stretching before I rather stupidly pressed on. I kept telling myself that it didn't matter if I did 7.8 miles rather than 8, but my inner dumb-ass just took over and I pressed on. Everything seems alright so far, and my runs later in the week went all right, but still -- I realize that I need to make better choices when something is obviously a miss.
